“I had to work continuously since I had to do the chores of all the occupants and when I wanted to take rest due to tiredness, they inserted the nail in my body as a punishment,” she said. “I had to work from dawn to dusk. I hardly slept. They beat me and threatened to kill me and hide my body.” She added that she arranged her travel documents to return home on her own expense. “They were really devils with no mercy at all,” she said. The Internet Muslim Community has been buzzing with reports of Dr Zakir Naik being denied entry into the UK. Dr Zakir Naik was scheduled to host his Famous Peace Conference in the UK this year but was denied a visa on the accusation of him being a supporter of terrorism.

The controversy continued when several other Islamic orators were denied entry as well. On May 31, Israel attacked – in international waters – the Freedom Flotilla, a six ship fleet carrying aid to the besieged Gaza Strip. The Flotilla was carrying 10,000 tons of aid and about 700 peaceful activists from all over the world. The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) raided the biggest ship, the Mavi Marmara, killing at least 9 people and injuring scores of other civilians, and seized the rest of the ships, bringing them in to an Israeli port. On June 7, the Israeli Navy killed four Palestinians off the Gaza coast. Read More

Bush’s ineffectual policy of the last eight years, and incessant coverage and outrage from the Muslim community on the issue to the exclusion of other issues, I had become disillusioned with the Israel/Palestine issue. May 31: "They were waving white flags, not clubs" is the latest statement from FreeGaza.org on the day of which at least 19 activists aboard the Gaza Flotilla, were murdered by the Israeli army.
What is being called the Freedom Flotilla is a small convoy of boats, differing in size, all of which carry humanitarian aid like medicine and clothing for those on the Gaza strip.

The biggest of the ships was clearly labeled Humanitarian Aid, as the video footage will attest, yet this was the ship that was the recipient of live ammunition, gas, and was savagely boarded by the Israeli Defense Force... Read More

Bangladesh has become the latest country to block social networking site Facebook because of a page that asks people to draw their own images of the prophet Muhammad.

Clearly, this isn’t going to kill Facebook, which has nearly 500 million users. But it shows that what might have been considered a small protest is gathering steam in the Muslim world. Facebook is already facing a lot of opposition over its privacy rule changes, so all it needs now is another controversy.
